“To realize one’s destiny is a person’s only obligation.” Paulo Coelho author ‘The Alchemist’

Last week I re-read ‘The Alchemist’ by Paulo Coelho. It is an amazing book, if you have not read it yet I recommend you go out and get a copy. I remember reading this book for the first time around seven years ago, it got me thinking about many aspects of life. I was about to leave for college at that time and there was a lot going on in my life .  The first time I read it, I missed out on many of the key issues in the book because I could not relate to them at that point in time.

Since then I have read it many times and last week the whole book just came together. I felt like John Nash where pieces of the text were being highlighted and being put into place. The book talks about a host of interesting concepts and I am going to highlight a couple of points this week in my blog showing how the book relates to my journey as an entrepreneur. 

The core message of the book is, doing your best to fulfill your life’s true calling. It’s about having the courage to listen to your heart and often going against all odds to get what you want. Along the way you will be severely tried and tested. The fear of losing it all will tempt you to quit and take the easier path. However, if you truly want to fulfill your Personal Legend you will overcome all odds and will achieve what you set out to get.
