Simplification

Most entrepreneurs get a lot of ideas on a regular basis.

It begins with a pain point or market void.

However, initial brainstorming sessions seem to exponentially increase the size of the business.

Divergent target segments, unnecessary features and over complication is what usually follows next.

Soon the idea that was once conceived is lost within the layers of over complications.

The idea fizzles out and we move on to the next…..

Keeping things simple is challenging.

It causes us to focus on a particular niche or demographic.

We feel restrained and uncomfortable about the perceived potential that we may be missing out on.

Therein lies the beauty of a simple idea.

We need to stop over-complicating our businesses by adding too many features or servicing too many niches.

Select the segment where you can play to your competencies, and where the target segment is large.

In today’s world focus, specialization and simplification is what enables us to succeed.
