A relationship between two people is based on trust. It is a foundational element and has the ability to make or break any relationship. Broken promises depending on their intensity act as cracks or major ruptures in the foundational base. This foundational base takes years to develop, every block we place provides it with the ability to stand tall during turbulent times. At the same time one small act can destroy years of building that base up, in a matter of minutes.

The small unkept promises that one believes do not cause much of a dent or damage in the base are often severely under valued. Every single dent in that base has aftershocks which do not surface till much later. We need to be careful with the commitments we make and the responsibilities we take on. This applies across all verticals of life whether in a personal or business context.
